General Manager: John Elliott
John can be called a serial entrepreneur. In his previous lives, he owned and managed a very popular restaurant and a really great sporting goods store. He first came to A Few Cool Hardware Stores as a frequent shopper at Logan Hardware, where he got to know the managers and the staff. He enjoyed the overall atmosphere so much that it inspired him to help us open our Tenleytown location.
Eventually, he decided he wanted to help us open a store in Baltimore, where we had thought about expanding. So he moved to the trendy Federal Hill neighborhood, quickly memorized volumes of Baltimore history, and opened our first outpost in a new city – all in about a three-month time span. Two years later, John ushered in Waverly Ace Hardware just off Greenmount Ave. and now, he can be found shuttling the Ace van between both locations to ensure our customers have exactly what they need.
